These set-ups are quite common in this part of the world but seem to be rare in the US. You can make considerably more power than you can with stock manifolds. Obviously a programmable EMS is required. What else do you want to know?

Its not that they are rare, (maybe the manufacturer of that TB is?) its just that most people don't want to deal with putting a standalone on a non turbo. There are a few though.

I was using a 50mm setup on one of my old peripheral port engines with great sucess. CJ

I was thinking about doing one of those on my blow through.

Cost kept me from doing it.

For a turbo application, I'm guessing you'd need the manifolds for a 4 port and the plenum. From the turbo you'd route to the IC then to the plenum...correct?

Correct.

The plenum I have will not fit the throttle body because of it's shape, so I would have to make another plenum.

I figured the total cost for me to switch from carb to f.i. would be a little under $2,000 in parts.
