Question to dual or not to dual

I am sure this question has been answered b4, so I ran a search, but aol and my computer both suck and it didn't work, so I'll have to ask. Which delivers better performance: true dual exhaust(from the headers back), or a single exhaust. I have heard from someone on this site that a gain of up to 30hp is attainable w/out any other mods, but the cost is astronomical(for me atleast), and am wondering if a single exhaust I.E. apexi n1 could provide similar resulst with the racing beat street header. I would also like to know if there is anyone in the fredericksburg,Va area that would like to help put an 88 convertible with 37000 mi back together(mostly interior i.e. the dash, seats, and paneling and general troubleshooting). Your help would be much appreciated to both ?'s.

Well the DUALS are the only ones that have a dynograph that make that much HP. Some people say that a single will make more power but no one sells these exhausts. And I have yet to see concrete evidence of the same ore more HP.
