Dual glass packs?
Dual glass packs?
right now i have a cat back exhaust. I wanna cut off my cat converter and put dual glass packs in the back with huge *** chrome tips. how you think that would sound? I want it loud.
my dual apexi n1's sound great without cats...its reallllyyyy deep below 3 grand, sets alarms off tho, and really good sounding above that mark. doesnt sound like any other car, no honda high pitch crap. try it out..

If by glass packs you mean something like Cherry bombs then I can tell you, from personal experience, they don't sound great. Supertrapps are wicked loud but can't say that the sound is all that great. I do like the N1's but they are loud.
here is almost exactly what that will sound like:

but i only have one straight 3"

....glass pack will melt after about 2 days at longest...depending on how hard you push it and depending on if its turbo or not.......They just cant withstand the heat that the rotary engine puts out
If you want loud, go straight pipe from the header like a real bawler! otherwise if you want a respectable car, at least go with magnaflow. its loud minus the annoying raspyness

If you want loud, get the RB header/presilencer to Apex N1 single, or corksport. I hav that with the N1 and it sounds great, and is pretty damn loud. If you want REALLY loud, you could just run the header and presilencer. That **** will set off car alarms several blocks away just from starting it up. Ask me how I know.... (technically it was only the stock exhaust manifold, but would have similar volume)

I figured that the presilencer would bring it down to similar volume levels of just the stock man. I also have a large streetport with ported exhaust and no diffusers, which makes it louder. Regardless, its approaching the hearing damage level at full throttle.
Also, turbo and non-turbo cars sound considerably different.
Here are some exhaust clips: http://howto.globalvicinity.com/gv_w...i=66&co=1&vi=1
Mine is the last one.

I've been running a pair of glass pack for two years, and love the sound, it's deeper than most rotarys. Originally I had gutted cats>stock Y pipe>glass packs, then I went to my current setup: RB Road Race header>pre-mufflers>glass packs. The header really required extra muffling, those things are loud. The funny thing is people on these boards talk bad about glass packs, but I get compliments on the sound all the time, it's a farcry from that annoying "fart can" sound. And don't listen to people who say they'll melt in 10 minutes, mine have lasted two years, I've videoed my car numerous times and the sound hasn't changed.
