Dual Exhaust vs. single-a little help

Hey I need to know if I should get Single exhaust or stick with dual, I really don't know, is there a difference, advantage???

Is this on a Turbo or Non Turbo? I don't think it really matters but the only thing I can think of is that the exhaust system may be lighter depending on the type of metal and thickness used.
