Dual alternator pulley set up with airpump?
was thinking about putting my airpump and ACV back on my car because I don't think my ports are opening all the way because of not enough back pressure I believe. but I am not experiencing any hesitation around 3800. I put a zip tie on the actuator pump to see if it moved after a drive and it appeared to stay in the same place. My question is since I have the dual alternator pulley on my car the extra belt is taking up the airpump pulley. Has anyone figured out a way to run the airpump off another one of the unused pulleys and would I be able to space the airpump out far enough to get a belt on there and have the pump held firmly in place?
Car is an 86 n/a no mods really k&n air intake a recently rebuilt motor using atkins rebuild kit with 2pc 2mm apex seals and there performance corner seals and side seals with only 200 miles on it, gutted precats on it along with rats nest removal and removed the ac unit.
Sorry if this was a dump question was just curious if this was a posability or if anyone here has ever done it will post pictures if needed.
Thanks

With the air pump in place, you don't need a dual alternator pulley, since the belt for the air pump runs on the other groove of the water pump, which is the whole reason to get the dual pulley in the first place.

Or you could perhaps get a larger belt for the smog pump that would go around both the main pully, alternator, and smog pump. But not sure why you'd want to.

Also, putting the air pump and ACV back won't help open your aux. ports. That would only be a fix for an S5. If the actuators are not working as they should, your exhaust is too free-flowing, your removed the split air pipe, have a pressure leak or they just need to be freed-up.

The split air pipe is still on the car, the ports aren't stuck only because I can hear them open and close when pushing on the actuators by finger. How free is to free flowing? I know all the pump does is send air down the split pipe to cool the cats. Was just something I was thinking about and didn't know if any one had ever tried to put the pump back on while still trying to use the dual alt pulley and been successful. Gonna try something else besides a zip tie to test out the actuators stupid thing probably slipped back down the rod.
