dual alt pulley question

ok i got my pulley. I went to Autozone to put it on. they got the old one off but when they went to put on the new one (from banzitoyota) it bows in, unlike the the pulley halves like the stock one that bow out. so do i need to uses a spacer or what. I've searched and searched and never seen anything about a spacer. am i just stupid and don't see the obvious route, or do i need a spacer?

Maybe the belts are not a matched pair?

You want not just the size, but also the manufacturers lot number to be the same.

Wow, that's a cool thing there... I was actually looking for a dual pulley on eBay last night so I wouldn't have to pay 40 bucks for the RB one. Sweet deal, goodbye air pump!

I wouldn't remove the air pump if you still have the stock cat in the exhaust.

I'd like to see a picture of this pulley that "bows in". I think that is the best way that you will be able to discribe what the problem is.

Nevermind, if you said that a spacer fixed it, I know what you are talking about.

I have the exact pulley, no problems here, maybe they lost the spacer that you have to use to bolt the alt to the motor.
