dual alt. pulley

What does it do? I saw the rotor dual alternator pulleys but if they do little or nothing, why bother!

They allow you to run 2 belts around the water pump when you remove the air pump and it's belt.

when you have an airpump on, that means there are 2 belts going to the wanter pump, so the belt wont slip, thus not turning the water pump and eventully over heating....... the dual alt pully makes 2 belts come of the altinator so the water pump doesnt slip at high rpms... a must when you remove your air pump..... so they do alot if you dont have an airpump, otherwise... yeah ya get it? and i hate to say it but search dude

Normal driving and drag racing wont make it slip. It slips when youre at high RPMS for longer periods of time. My old FC had 1 belt on, the car would start heating up and I could hear the belt slipping while roadracing. After the 2nd belt was put on, the temp went down and the belts didnt slip anymore.

This is true, i was just clearing up the statement made that says it is a must to run a duel alt pulley if you have removed the airpump, while it is not manditory. The only reason I would run it on my car would be for safety reasons, ie if that one belt snapped I would have a backup to run the waterpump.
