driving with bad coolant seal

driving with bad coolant seal

well my fc eats coolant and is prolly the coolant seal. about 2-3 months im going to rebuild my engine. im just wondering in the mean time would it harm the engine so as i can not rebuild it when the time comes if i keep driving it for couple months? i keep on top of coolant every morning and fill it up... thanks

Try this first.
And no, if you are driving it bascially every day it won't harm it. If you let it sit for a long time and water leaks into the chambers, then it can rust the seals and you have a problem.

Yea he's right I doubt it will cause any harm. BTW I have heard the block weld works good for a lot of people, so try that!

are you still able to rebuild the engine if you use the block weld method?

so aslong as i keep up on the coolant and dont over heat i can still drive it and rebuild later?... thanks
