Question Drivetrain diagnostic help please

Hello,
Problem:
When driving, in gear and clutch pedal not touched and I let up on the gas pedal, the car "lurches" as it decelerates.
This is new.
As long as I'm accelerating, everything is fine. Maybe a little pause as I let the clutch back on, but not often.

It feels mechanical, not fuel/electric related.

Any ideas before going to a mechanic would be greatly appreciated.
1988 GXL Manual N/A

Thanks!

steve

It sounds like the differential mounts. The front differential mount has been known to be a problem area. I would look there first.
