Driveshaft Question

I just want to ask real quick before I spend $50 on this. An S4 NA driveshaft is interchangable with an S5 correct? I'm having a brain fart right now and I was sure they were but I started doubting myself since I'm making a little bit of a drive to pick it up on saturday. Thanks

Yes, an S4 N/A driveshaft is interchangeable with an S5 N/A driveshaft assuming they are either both from manual tranny cars or auto tranny cars.

I checked ur myspace page and saw your FC, real clean. So your drifting NA too huh? What's your experience so far, im kinda curious myself since I really cant afford a turbo motor right now. Are you LSD equipped? What type of wheels are those, they look like SSR's.

Has a S4 GTU LSD, The wheels are from a crown vic(the ones you see in the back, and the fronts are the same but higher offset off a mercury. Drifting this car is nice but its harder with these fatter tires in the back. With lower profile, and crappy tires in the back, I can do pretty well with it. I don't have footage of a track day when I had the low profile tires but I was able to get more angle like the 240's and throw it around easier. With the beefier tires I'm kinda fighting to hold it by going in faster.

Thanks RX3SP I just wanted to reassure myself, I thought I was right. It is going from manual to manual. I have an auto one at home but it does me no good.

I see. Im running a GTU with complete TII drivetrain on a N/A motor so Im hoping with an aftermarket LSD I can drift some sick offset wheels. What work have you done to the motor? Any exhaust upgrades? Just curious, this will be my first year drifting an FC with some reasonable cash and I kinda wanted a heads up from some more experienced drivers running N/A.

Well if you see one of the vids on my myspace you'll see the mods I have at the end of the credits....which is basically nothing lol. Right now the only aftermarket thing I have is a cone K&N filter, and a corbeau racing seat. The rest is cut-springs, and a gutted cat lol. I had headers early this year but sold em. Now the car is basically stock. Just takes practice that's all. Look at my thread in the sig you'll see.
