Quick easy question

I am replacing my oil lines with new ones. I keep putting it off and now I have forgotten where each hose goes. Is the smaller hose connected to the bottom of the oil cooler or the top? Or does it really even matter?

Thanks

ran out to check, it was pitch black outside but i felt that the small line goes on top to the front rotor and the long one goes on bottom to the rear.

xclusive_one - I believe you'll need two of these three sizes (not sure which) 22, 23, 24mm. They're a bitch to crack loose on the oil cooler side and it doesn't help the cooler is mounted on rubber mounts. On the front cover, the wrench holding the nut steady needs to be narrow (you may have to grind a cheap wrench), while you turn the fitting on the cooler line. You may want to use new copper washers on the rear line at the housing and both oil cooler connections. May want to remove the battery and battery mount for some space. Not such a bad job.

You can use a 15/16 socket for the Oil Cooler Nut(seeing as sometimes a 22 is too small and a 23 is too big/..the 15/16 is a little sloppy But a Six point wont Strip the Oil cooler Bolt)...Now to get at the Top Nut ON the cooler you can go UP TOP and just remove the driver's side Plastic Rad panel between the front mount, and the Bumper...The Bottom one is accessable Under the car....as PFSantos says too,it is helpful to use a Wrench that is Ground to fit..BUT if One Line is off and you 'crack " the Adapter that goes From the front Oil cooler To the Housing..you can spin the Line off as ONE..then put the Line in a vise to get the adapter off and Start Fresh.Good Luck.

Its a 21mm and a 23mm.
BTW, just 4 10mm bolts hold the oil cooler in. Much easier to work with.
Thanks guys!
