i think the switch is dead...is this a common problem? will contact cleaner fix it?

 

Yep it seems pretty common to me b/c it went on every fc I had... that and the door handles... I would try contact cleaner. If it dont work, disconnect and resolder. If that dont work, get a new one. Does the passenger side window roll down? Cause everytime my drivers side window went it took both. A way to be sure is to hook up a wire from the batt and a wire from ground straight to the window motor and see if it moves(depending on how you connect it determines if it goes up or down, so try both ways first.) If it works then, you got a bad switch, if it still dont work then you know its the motor.
