Drivers headrest speakers wont work

Hey guys, in my 90 Convert, just recently after the battery died, my headrest speakers on the drivers seat stopped working. I moved the seat forward already and checked the connection under it, and its fine. Do you guys have any ideas? They put out a very quiet sound when the rest of the speakers are really loud, but when i push the switch up, it does nothing. Could the speakers have blown? Do you think that it could be the switch? How should i test it if it is? Thanks.

the speakers would not have blown from a bad battery. You may have shorted out one of teh wires, or the connection at the button in the center console (by your elbow). I would suggest cleaning out the connections and testing with either an ohm reader or ground light tester for power to the bad speakers.

My vert top quit working too. Turned out to be the connector for the parking brake light under the center console. Connector was corroded. Cleaned it up and top works fine... Not just to save money to replace the top (torn). Oh well if not one thing it is another. My headrest speakers haven't worked since I got the car. But I don't know if that is because of the aftermarket stereo or what. I have not pulled it to check how they have run the wires. They did wire in a bass tube, so I am wondering if they used the headrest harness for that. One of these days I'll check it out.

Check all your connections for corrosion. verts let alot more moisture inside which really speeds up the corrosion process.
Later,
