driveline and tranny stuff
Ive got a few quick questions 1. i have a driveline off an 88 5speed that i took off a wrecked 87 vert. ( i know its an 88 cause it it has it written on it) anyways will it fit my 86 5speed and i lost my bolts can i go to the hardware store and hook myself up. 2. the slave cylinder lines are missing how hard are these going to be to find and replace.

1. if they are both n/a or both tii they will interchange. S4/S5 will also interchange but will have slightly different wire connections. They are both S4 tranies, so you should be fine as long as they are both n/a or both tii.
Bolts= you can goto a hardware store, but make sure you actually get a hardware specialist to help you. Tell him they need to be a high strength grade. Do this or face having your tranny drop on the interstate the first bump you hit. There is a thread in the archive with different bolt thread pitches that you will need to buy.
2. Slave syl lines- goto mazdatrix or atkins and buy the stainles steel slave syl line. I think they are $20.00. The OEM replacements are probably ~$20 from the dealer anyhow.
