Is there anyway to drill a helicoil out of a racing beat down pipe for a egt probe.

 

Don't see why you couldn't, as long as you used a special bit. Not familiar with RB DP, but if it's welded onto the DP, have it torched off, then a new threaded nut with the correct size welded on.

 

I think you will have some real problems drilling it out since the drill bit will keep catching on the helicoil and it will probably just break the corners off the drill bit, and dull it. Just try to pull it out with a pair of plyers before you try to drill it out.
