Hah.

There's no option for "Fixing."

Steve

P.S. or Autocrossing or Club Racing

Yo,

Well, out of those three...I have to choose "Drift". But honestly, I think the whole "Drift" thing is getting silly. I don't drift my RX-7. At best, I manage a powerslide. I am not Keiichi Tsuchiya. Watch him during the beginning of Best Motoring #41. He's drifting and making it look effortless. When I drift, I'm flailing at the wheel like an epileptic.

*grin*

Oh, and I need a big E-Brake button.

KS
1989 GTUs "Roadracing or AutoX would be more appropriate."

Drag and drift, more drift than drag though, because it's so freaing slow ('86 GXL).

Yeah, you left out all of the REAL racing events that involve skill. You also left out the lowest life form of racing, Street Racing, so I guess it evens out, LOL.

X One write-in vote for Road Racing (Open Events).

If you also want to count my 1Gen, then another write-in vote for Road Racing (Improved Touring / Autocross).

BTW, does anybody have any info on sanctioned Drift events in the US? I see a lot of people who say that they drift in the US, but I have yet to actually see a drift racing event.

Drag and drift this way!!!!!!!!!!

Line racing, Is that all you have come to think it is?
YOu need to go to the strip and get beat by a car that you know is slower than yours, and you'll see, that there is skill and technique involved there,

the statement is true, b/c when your car is stuck at pauls house and you go overthere at 9am you have to coax his little sister into dragging his lazy *** out of bed to help ya,

Yea, show purposes, right..... Anybody that has ever seen my car knows that what you said is far far far from the truth, Your the one thats affraid to drift,

oh yea, and i raced you in your red "Turd" in the pouring down rain and managed to beat the crap out of you and even slowed down and let you catch up, only to pass you again.

damn chris, you act like beating an 86 gxl is an accomplishment!!!! . . . and i drift when it NEEDS to happen. . . not when there are women and children like you do all the time. im tired of hearing your point system too. . . it disgusts me that you take pride in running into helpless old ladies pushing baby carriages full of coke cans!!!! you *******!!!

I have five RX-7s, and they're all drag. I "drag" them from this spot in the yard to that spot...or "drag" them from one town to another.

drift now, auto X latter, although i could blow away almost all of the local racers in a drag,(all civics and focus's) i wana stick to my cars roots, the car wasn't made for drag so im not gunna.

P.S. my cars stock, with a blown turbo, and im shure i could take alot of the ricer guys, with the exception of the guy with the turbo H22 in his civic and the nsx guy, hah

Yeah, you left out all of the REAL racing events that involve skill. You also left out the lowest life form of racing, Street Racing, so I guess it evens out, LOL.
I so resent that comment....drag racing takes skill how many people on this forum can launch a 2.0 second 60 footer i mean come on tell abel ibarra that drag racing doesnt take skill....Now im not saying autoxing or real track racing doesnt involve skill cause it does but you can make more mistakes in track racing and still win than you can in dragging

I do agree with the comment that he did leave out autoxing and track racing from the overall thread because that is what the rx7 is mainly known for....
