the dreaded S4 to S5 engine harness conversion
I have an 88 vert that I just got a S5 JDM engine for. I have an S5 ECU also. Now my mechanic has to remap the three or so plugs from the car to mate to the S5 harness (which is a non-turbo harness %$#@*&!)
My mechanic is an RX7 veteran and his elec guy reads schematics and knows all the circuits I think its just a matter of doing a lot of repinning.
Anyone has done this swap can chime in with advice please thank you.
There are about three plugs and maybe 30 wires total I think. I know the alt needs power. Any heads ups on possible pitfalls appreciated to save these guys headaches.
happy easter

I have a s4 that is getting a s5 motor swap (NA). I have the s5 harness and ecu pulled out of my parts car and after the motor is rebuilt (not need but hey its out), plan on using them for the conversion.
Anyway, havent heard that term before.
