Two regular size jugs that they sell in a store is enough. I carry extra fluids in my car just in case. Also not to bash on you but did you really need to make thread? Go buy some, if you dont have enough then go buy some more. haha

You couldn't find it when you searched the factory service manual?
It's in the Cooling System chapter under Specifications.

Just curious, but which section of the factory service manual did you search?

Anyway, the number of gallons of coolant and distilled water that you will need to buy depends on the mixing ratio that you use. If you plan on only driving in Chico where the record low was 11°F in 1932, then you could use the max 65/35 mix if you like.

Since you didn't look at the FSM, did you make sure to pull the plug on the block and the radiator? This could leave more coolant in there and that could be why you don't know how much to put in. Haynes manual says 7 quarts estimate if I remember right. But each system may be a little different depending on model. Start the car with the rad cap off and massage the coolant hoses to get out air bubbles and you should be fine. Hope that helps you, but you should really read up more on even a simple procedure like this before attempting it.
