Dragging caliper or bearing too tight?

I've used the search function with no luck. I have a 90 T2 vert which has been pulling to the left above 40mph. After ensuring the suspension and alignment are ok, I now think I have spotted the problem. The left ft wheel does not rotate anywhere as easily as the right ft wheel. With a spin it will go one rotation while the rhs wheel will travel 2 1/2 turns. I guess this makes sense that the car wants to go left all the time.

Question is - does this sound like the pad is touching the rotor or the bearing on that wheel is too tight? I don't have a torque wrench to check so I thought I better ask before rushing out and buying one.

It doesn't feel like a warped rotor and there is only 1mm play in the bearing when I shake the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock (no movement at 3 and 9).

As always I am very grateful of any assistance I can get from this super forum.

Since bearings rarely spontaniously tighten, you should first check the caliper. Any one of the pistons could be stuck or sticky. While you have the caliper off, it's easy to spin the wheel and check the bearing.
