Dragging the 6-port turbo tonight

Well, in about 5 hours I'll be drag racing my '87 Sport 6-port (n/a block) turbo at Kaukana, WI. Any suggestions/thoughts/bets as to what's going to break first? Here's the setup:

starion fmic
walbro 255
turboxs mbc @ 12psi
clutchnet 6puck clutch
3000GT rims on the rear w/kumho's
550 primaries, 720 secondaries
S-AFC
wideband with gauge right infront of the tach

Car weighs in about 2600-2700lbs with driver (me)

I never actually broke anything due to boost, but when I was NA I managed to shatter a front U-joint at the strip...Back in the day, I was at the track nearly every week. Nowadays I go less often (since I'm driving the Insight right now).

I think that the input or cluster shaft of your transmission are the main concerns, but as I said, I never actually broke a transmission due to boost. I destroyed two due to lack of fluid (broke an input shaft on the first, totalled the bearings and input shaft on the 2nd). NA transmission is stronger then people think. I would air down my tires to around 10 PSI, do a burnout, then launch at around 8-10 PSI @ 6K.

what kind of times were you seeing Aaron? I'm expecting low-mid 13's if I take it easy on the launch (those damn n/a axles scare me)

I plan on taking the launch pretty easy (4-5k feather), as that's the most stress time, if it holds up after a few runs like that, then I'll take it down on an abusive launch.

well, at 10psi I never see over 10.5:1 on the a/f ratio, so I don't expect much from the engine as far as damage goes, i'm just more worried about what else I'm going to murder.

Just got back, good news is, I didn't break anything! Bad news is, my intercooler hoses blew off on every run! I do however have 1/8 mile times & 60 foot, so I guess you can use those. Lemme post them after I take a ****.

Here are the time slips that I've got. The 2nd run was started by a flagman instead of the tree, so no R/T. Pretty much, shortly after shifting into 3rd, and the turbo spooling up to about 13-14psi, the intercooler hoses just kept blowing off, couldn't keep the bastards on for the life of me. I ran against a lightened awd dsm, and had him by about 3-4 car lenghts by the time we hit 3rd (his car was running low 14's), then I raced a GTP with a pulley/header/couple of other unmentioned mods. And he got the jump on me (he ran the flag, took off as soon as the guy raised it instead of dropped it), and was probably at about 20-25mph by the time I took off after, shot ahead, started pulling pretty hard, then boom, blew it off again. Finished the runs in 23 seconds @ 32mph WOT to keep the damn turbo sucking air in so the AFM wouldn't stall my car.

Reminds me of my last trip to the strip. Launched at about 6.5k, craziest wheel hop ever, floored it as soon as the light hit green, bout 1 second into the run, or less, car sputters to a stop. I had popped a hole in my radiator hose, blew my CAI off the rubber coupler on the TB elbow and broke my turn signal switch all in one violent launch .

FYI, about a week later I started getting some nasty vibrations in my rear end too

That's nice, that 8.2 is 12's isn't it? Of course you can't tell for SURE, but from what I've found that would be 12's in the 1/4. That's effing awesome, makes me wanna get my project started sooner

a 95 mph trap speed in the 1/8 is movin

My 105.6 mph trap speed only had an 84.3 1/8 mile trap speed.

Only reason I said 12's is because I was looking at some times in the dyno/timeslips section and someone ran a 13.0 1/4 with a 8.6 1/8th and then on another run ran a 12.4 with an 8.1 1/8th, so that's where I got my guess.
