Drag radials
Drag radials
I was wondering what drag radials people use. I am planning on buying some 17" racing rims and maybe using my stock 15" rims with some drag radials for the rear. I can do that, right? Use 17s up front and 15s in back? Thanks.
Well, you've only got two choices that I know of at the moment..
Nitto and BFG. From my f-body experience, BFGs are going to be somewhat stickier at the track than Nitto, but aren't great for the street. Nittos are great on the street, and only slightly less traction on the strip. Hell, some F-body guys use Nitto DRs all around for autocrossing.
Sorry, can't offer specific help for RX-7s yet. Though I'd be interesting in hearing from NA people who use DRs, I just can't see how you need DRs, the 13B doesn't have a great deal of torque in the first place, traction shouldn't be a huge problem, should it?

I got Bf's and they're awesome, however I WOULD NEVER DRIVE THEM IN THE RAIN. I once ran through a puddle and things got interesting.!!!!! At the track though, they are capable of producing 1.8 60' times. Not on my car.....i lack the power. Mine were usually 2.00 and once a 1.98. When they're bald they're even better. and add some Stp tire softener and drop the psi to 10 and they'll be gummy like sticky. I like them:bighumb:
