I just had a bonez 3" downpipe installed on my 88. It sounds pretty strong, but when I rev it pretty high, it kind of pops right before I shift. I don't know if it's backfiring or what's going on. Does anyone know why it does this?

 

Heh, backfire on a modded 7 is nothing unusual. What are your other mods? Having any driving probs? If everything is running fine, I'm sure your ok.

 

you're probly fine i just took my cats off and my car does the same thing.

 

Everything is running fine. Pretty much all I have done to the car is catback exhaust, but it only starting doing this once I put the new downpipe on.

 

yea thats normal its because you're cats are gone.

 

The main cat is still there though right? Did it just get rid of the pre-cats? Is the car still street legal?
