Stick a tension bolt in and grab the inner threads with it. Pull out..

Use the bolts that normally hold the bottom / passenger engine mount.
There's 3 of them, but you only need one.
Liberal use of your favorite penetrant (i.e. WD-40, Liquid Wrench, P'Blaster, etc.) will help too.

I use an FC mount bolt, as stated by Ted. If they're stuck, I put a crecent wrench under the head of the bolt, and tap upwards on the wrench with a mallet.

i used a tension bolt for the first 2, but they don't seem to work on the other 2 even with WD-40.
i'll try the mount bolt. thanks for the fast response guys.

ok i tried all of the tips mentioned above^. nothing worked. i know for sure that the engine had been
overheated a few times while it was running. you think that may have any affect on the last 2 dowel
pins? if so, how could i go about removing them? the int housing and front rotor housing seem
to be sticking together pretty good so i can't complete the tear down.

Use a rubber mallet and knock the front housing free of the front iron. Lift up the intermediate iron and front housing as one piece, and have a friend grab the eshaft on the way up. Just be careful not to damage the apexes of the rotor or the front stationary gear and rotor bearings.

You sir, are a genius. I searched dowel pin removal and found that in 5 seconds. I just happen to have the motor mounts with bolts laying next to me. Worked like a charm! On a 3rd gen even! Didnt know this was the 2nd gen section 'til just now hahaha

-Thanks

When I have a particularly stubborn dowel that wont come out with just the motor mount bolt and vise grips, I stack several washers with and ID larger than the dowel underneath the mount bolt. When you tighten down the bolt, it pulls the pin right out.
