ok heres the problem when i bought this car almost a year ago its a 87 N/A the guy told me that sometimes the latch falls and my door dont open so i was wodering how am i goin to unlock it since its closed and from the inside i cant even take the panal off because theres a screw in the backand this happend when i locked my door from the outside and when i pull on the handle its loose like something fell off... also my driver door this happend like maybe a week ago my door worked good expect now i cant open it from the inisde just outside i think the metal wire thing fell off the handle would that be it? I was thinking of shaving my doors and get popers but then wat if this **** happens again

 

open the hatch and crawl on in?

just pop the interior panel off (need phillips screwdriver)
and check it out. youll prolly be able to find whats wrong and fix it with zipties or something.. i have a non power lock assembly if you need one.

i kno this is a really old post but im having the same problem rite now but its with both my doors. i got the panel out and shot some oil in there and pushed and pulled but im still not able to get this open. what did you have to do to get these doors open?
