will an 89 GXL door fit on my 87 T2? the guy that i may be buying the door off of told me that its striped down to the metal meaning that all of the interior stuff is gone and so is the glass. i have all of that stuff from the door thats on the car now the one on the car is just sorta kinda crushed in (damn trees)

 

i would imagine so.
not positive but i dont think they would be different for any reason.
maybe the electricals are, but thats easy enough to fix

i am also in the market for a new door

 

The internal sheet metal is a little different from the 86-87 to the 88 and later models, but everything structually should match up.

The only thing I am not positive on is the electrical connections, which might be different and require you changing the door harnesses

 

well the door is striped of everything glass, interior, mirror, handle so im just gonna take all that **** off of the door thats on my car now and put it on/in that door
