Door lock weird?

Door lock weird?
ok im curious is this just the way mazda made the doors on the FC or are my doors messed up, i can only lock my doors from the outside like even if i push the lock down from the inside it only locks the door from the inside not the outside you can still open the door by using the handle help?

it's so you don't lock your keys in the car i think. but lock it on the inside then when you close the door you have to lift up on the door handle when you shut the door.

^^ You'd be correct here. It's a "safety" feature. Although in the first week I had mine, I locked my keys in it, even after forgetting to lift the handle the first time. Always check your pockets for your keys, put a spare in your wallet, and always lift the handle while shutting the door.

hahaha I laughed at my dad.he did this the first day we had the seven..luckily I had a spare made the same day. Now, yes it is a "safety" feature...I like to call it the "anti-idiot system" but, that describes alot of things =)
