Door Lock Question?

Okay, the driver's side door lock doesnt work on my TII, like the key doesn't even go in all the way, so i can't open my door through the driver's side, i always have to open it through the passenger's side. I was wondering if i could eliminate this problem by switching the driver's side door lock with the passenger's side door lock? is it possible to switch them, or are they different, like does the driver's side have a special lock for the LEFT door and the passenger has a a different lock for the RIGHT door?

1. try shooting a graphite lubricant into the lock from the outside. this usually works.
2. Sometimes all it is is this: when you put your key in press downwards on it, then turn.
3. if that doesnt work try this http://24.243.0.73/rx7/ it's a guide I put together for lubing both side of the lock.
4. Switch out the locks from passenger to the driver's. Use the guide up until the lubing part for this. It shows where the annoying screws are.

I took my lock apart to find a piece of plastic jammed up in it. Took awhile to get it out.

That would be the small plastic flap that covers the keyhole until you stick the key in, and then it slides to the side. It's common for it to fail and wear out, but I don't hear about it getting stuck in there too often.
If you get to step 4, and you need to switch out the locks, try and fix the ex-driver's side lock while you're at it. Things just fit together, it will visually make sense.
