Door Lock problem!

Is there any way to lock the doors once you're inside and driving. I try to lock mine by pushing the driver's lock down and they do but they pop back up. Is there something wrong with mu locks? They work fine when I lock them to leave, you know, the hold the handle thing but when I'm driving they won't stay locked. Thanks.

The locks normally lock and unlock regardless of if you are driving or not. If they are both popping up/unlocking then you have an aftermarket system that is causing it.

And your bump has been deleted. Bumps, anyones, etc are forbidden in the 2nd gen technical section.

So can you only lock them with the key? Or do you hold up the handle, lock it from the inside, then slam the door closed? I just replaced my handles recently so if you can explain more in detail, all the rod connections in the door are still fresh in my head

I can lock them with the key from the outside or lock them by hand then close the door and hold the handle up. but when I'm driving, and I lock them by hand from the inside they pop right back up.

Thumbs up

Sounds like an installation problem with your power lock system.
most come with an auto unlock fetaure to prevent you from locking the keys in the car while it is in the ignition, and this should be deactivated by closing the door, the trouble may be with the door switch not working properly. Double check the install directions and check the grounds.

Good luck

Correction. the auto unlock feature should be activated by the door closing thus unlocking the door, how ever it should be by passed by locking the manualy once closed.
