OK whenever i lock my drivers door it cannot be opened again. The locks stays locked anbd will only go l;ike half way up and the key will only turnb halfway. even after removing as much of the door panel as i could with the door shut pullting on the lock arm did nothing i have to move some pieces inside the mechanism in order to open it. if i don't lock it it's fine, and suggestions?

This was covered in the last two weeks, but instead of yelling "SEARCH YOU NOOB!" like everyone else would, I'll tell you what to do. I just fixed the same problem myself. The problem is that a tiny spring on the top of your door latch mechanism broke. To get it to unlock, you have to bush down on the lever that the spring was attached to. You can either do this from the inside, or from the outside, by pulling off the black window trim and using a long skinny piece of metal to push down on the lever. (I should have taken pictures when I had mine apart.)

Once you have it unlocked, don't lock it, or even slam the door untill you have replaced the broken spring.

Good luck.

The door lock/striker plate mechanism are Inexpensive If you consider $60can with Included discount from Mazda cheap.

I had the same problem as JamesBong has outlined but decided to go with the newness Is better so I replaced both assemblies. I'm particular like that.

I would have done that if I wasn't spending all my money replacing EVERYTHING ELSE on my RX!

well i think you had a different problem than me because i actually have to put my fingers in the greasy brass colored metal part that is the actually part that latches. I have to put my finger in there next to the stiker that it bolted to the car and pull the little latch up and off of it
sorry its kinda hard to explain and i cant really even see what i'm doing in there its mostly by feel
