Door Lock Light Bulb?
So, I decided to go fix some more things on the car this weekend.....like most weekends. Anyway, I'm trying to get my door lock to light up but it looks like someone cut the wires that went to the bulb and removed the bulb. So, I need to know what bulb goes there but I can't find it in my parts program. Also, I thought that since it's such a PITA to get to maybe it would be a good idea to replace it with a LED. I'm not an electrician though so, can anyone advise me on this?

Pic a Part fix
You8'll find the light bulbs that go to the idiot light cluster are the same size as what is in the door lock tube. You just need to unwrap the bulb wires from the holder they are installed in. Solder the bulb wires to the two white wires to the tube, be sure and shrink tube the connections so the don't short against each other when you install. Slide the bulb into the rubber holder than in turn slides into the cylinder, re-lay the wiring to the door handle, and your good to go.

well crap...how sure are you that this is the correct bulb? I put one of these in but it's WAY too dim to be of any use. It's only bright enough to see the fillament if you look DIRECTLY at it..which means it won't light up the key hole, not even a little

They're not that bright
The rubber grommet is what the original bulb was in. Also, the bulb in the grommet might have a green cap that goes over it.
Hard to see in daylight perhaps. The design is for finding the keyhole at night, so don't hesitate.
But, not sure the problem. If the bulb is from the idiot cluster, it's bright enough to light the idiot lights to see in daytime. Same 12v going to it in the door lock.
