If all the idiot lights are off, it could be the Power Steering Computer under the steering column. Does it beep as if it's like a code, i.e. two beeps, pause, repeat?

If the beeping is coming from the CPU (left of the dead pedal), let us know...

Seatbelt chime is a few seconds after start up. I can't think of anything that will buzz that long (30 seconds) and then shut off.

Or do you mean the car runs for about 30 seconds and then you hear the chimes?

Check the room fuse.

What's happening is that the circuit for the interior light is finding a ground.

First, make sure the switch isn't on "light always on" - it's obvious but we've all done that (does the light still turn on when you put the switch in "always off"?).

Second, I'd check to make sure the plugs to the door pins haven't detached and are resting against the chassis.

Third, you may have a short to ground somewhere else. This could be anywhere between the light assembly and chassis or wire between light assembly to door pins.

I also have a somewhat similar problem. My room fuse continues to blow, and when it is blown the hatch light and door light stay on. But when I pull the e-brake up they turn off and the e-brake light comes on. And just recently the car goes beepbeep.......beepbeep...
