NC Doing turbo 2 swap into 86 fc

okay i was wondering if i had to change my wiring harness or not i have heard some you dont some you do so i just went ahead and asked in an 86 fc do u have to or not? if i didnt it would save me alot of time and money.. and do i have to change any thing else? i am putting the tII rear end and trans/driveshaft all in aswell.

this is covered ALL THE TIME...seriously...

you don't have to change the harness. you will need to change the ecu, afm, and map sensor.

86, 87, 88, it doesn't matter. The only thing that changes is 87.5-88 have high impedence injectors and therefore no 6 ohm resistor pack.

Then you'll have to over ride the solenoid resistor package on your car. It's located a half foot below the afm/filter. Just pull the item off the car. Cut its pigtail harness in half. Splice ALL five wires together on the half of the pigtail that is still attached to the solenoid resistor plug. Then plug the plug back into the EM harness. Done. OR SEARCH for HAILERS and Solenoid Resistor using the ADVANCED serarch function at the top right of the page your looking at.
