just unbolt it, pull it off, spray it with your favorite carb cleaner, clean the opening on the UIM and re-install. Its pretty self-explanitory.

That actually sounds like an even better idea... I'll do that tomorrow too (did the normal cleaning today, but didn't put it back on yet... not until after I get the grommets for the fuel injectors so I can put the fuel rail back on, THEN I can put the BAC on and get it started up.

Remove it. Then reconnect the electrical plug. Turn the key to ON. It should vibrate. Spray a cleaner into the port. Dump it and spray some more til you feel like you've done a good enough job. If you want it to open fully, just remove the small wire from the starter and hold the key to START. That should open the bac fully for a few moments.

I used a pair of alligator clips and a battery sitting on the bench to supply my 12v power.

All I can say is: DO THE CLEANING!!

My car ran noticably different after the cleaning. I used to have bad idle fluxuations due to power drops (stereo w/ 3 amps, e-fan, etc. etc)

The BAC helped to alleviate most of them. You can hear the engine automatically adjust the idle slightly to compensate when anything puts a heavy draw on the engine. Go figure, once it is cleaned, it works right!
