Does your NA sound like a motorcycle?

Had sometime yesterday so I advanced the timing by a little bit.
4 degrees clockwise on the CAS.
Started the car, no pinging....GOOD.....drove it hard...no pinging... GOOD

Found the car pulled harder and all the way to 8000... VERY GOOD

Car seem to have a high pitch like a sports bike, found the back firing to be ALOT quieter and less.

Anyone have the same results?

MODS.

RB Turbo Back with custom downpipe from manifold.
Cone filter
S-AFC---RPM-------correction
----------1000------(0)
----------2000------(-2)
----------3000------(-8)
----------4000------(-12)
----------5000------(-12)
----------6000------(-10)
----------7000------(-9)
----------8000------(-7)

Car pulls hard from 5000RPM on......
Midrange is torquier then before starting from 3500RPM

Yeah it sounds like a freakin' streetbike, but that's because it's got a streetport (with exhaust porting) and 9 pound flywheel so it rev's up just like a streetbike

Yep, mine sounds like a motorcycle.. We were taking Photos as an american federation of motorcycles event, and commented on how much the RX7 sounded like some of those bikes

Smells like a dirtbike with the premix too

So it's SUPPOSE to sound like this....
I don't know, I got since the car is making a more high pitch noise...LOUD too... So I put the timing back to stock.

I noticed that with the timing advance, I had alot better top end then stock timing.

Top of 3rd and 4th pulled alot better when advanced.
Another thing I noticed is that the car is running richer with advanced timing....what's up with that??

The voltage from the O2 senser is around .87v to .92v while with stock timing, the voltage is around .78v to .89v.

Mine used to sound more like a motor cycle or chain saw until I dumped the OEM mufflers for some N/A racing beat ones. Much better now. Smooth sounding and quiet. I know that isn't popular with the young crowd but I don't want peoples heads turning when I am running to red line.

I advanced my timing roughly 10degrees. only the two timimg marks on the pully so it is hard to tell exactly. I thought it made it run a little better with the freeflowing exhaust. Stock I don't think it would help. (turbo, don't do it) May run a little hotter but so far no problems.

By the way the crank rotates 3 times for every time the rotor rotates so my 10 degrees at the crank of advance is only about 3.3 degrees at the rotor.
