Does This sound like flooding?

This week has had beautiful weather so I have been driving my 7 everyday. I havn't had any problems with this car since I got it 4-5 months ago.

The car always starts right up, but the other day I was out and when I was ready to go home the car wouldn't start. I was parked uphill (if that makes a difference) and had half a tank of gas. The car would crank and crank like it had plenty of battery but wasn't turning over. Luckily I was able to roll down the hill and turn around and then pop start it to get home. That was 4 days ago and havn't had the problem since.

Now today, it is sitting in my driveway (parked slightly uphill again) and it is doing the same thing.

I am still a newb, but have read a lot of people having flooding issues. I think it is getting fire because it normally starts and always runs smooth, but not these two times.

Any ideas?

It is an 87 NA, no mods, and I changed the fuel filter 3 months ago.

well it could be flooding for sure, that is a classic signs of it. Though since it was on a hill both times, try filling the tank up and see what happens.

Or you can just test if it is getting fuel at the rails by jumping the yellow connector by the air box and then turning your key on, if you here gas running though the fuel rails then it is getting gas and most likely flooded.

Might want to install a fuel cut switch (it can act as a security device if you hide it) then you can deflood it easy.

Search for deflooding procedures and try them. If they work then yes it was flooded.
