does this sound like a clogged at or bad seal?
I replaced the pump in the car and it fired up after a couple of tries . It didnt idle very smoothly but it didnt die on me.
I waited for it to quit smoking and I noticed that when I tried to rev the motor past 2500rpm it sounded like the engine bogged down. there seemed to be more smoke coming from the exhaust manifold area and the cat area.
I decided to try and drive around the block and it ran but by the time I got back it barely reved enough to stay running and it was very very sluggish.
The car has been sitting for around 8 months and I havent changed out the plugs yet. I have only put the new pump in today.
The car sounds like a bunch of air being blown thru a paper bag that has a hole in it or something. I have never heard a bad seal or rotor or even a clogged cat. looks like it is all factory exhaust except the mufflers.
car is a 88 convertable 97,000 miles
I dont know.
