does rebuilt engines go bad, if not installed in a certain time?

does rebuilt engines go bad, if not installed in a certain time?

plz help! i bout a rebuilt engine about a week ago. and i live and texas and my car and my engine is in cali. im in the military and i wont be able to go back to cali, for a nother month. when i try to buy one from a shop. they said they go bad. i was just wonderin if any one had a time line?

Depends... Did you check the expiration date on the carton it came in?

the rotors can get stuck if they didnt lube them before they let it sit.

just pour some oil in the spark plug holes. you should be good.

unless amnimalz are living in there. lawlz

In most cases there should be enough assembly lube left on the parts to easy tkae care of any major problems in such a short time. I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just make sure its stored in a dry place in the meantime

Have em plug up the intake and exhaust ports with something and put some spark plugs in it. They could also crank the engine by hand and spray fogging oil in it.
