does it really matter what brand of gauges I get?

Hey guys I'm finally getting around to getting aftermarket gauges for my '88 GTU. It's pretty heavily modded and put down 157rwhp when I still had a cat on there.

Anyway I was thinking water temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature gauges. They're going to go in one of those custom gauge panels that were being sold on here a while back.

My question is, are there any real differences in accuracy between the brands? I found some new el cheapo autometers on ebay . I figure I'll get those two and then another autometer oil temperature gauge. I just want to make sure that they all look pretty similar. Are these going to be less accurate than like a Greddy or something?

autometer's probably the brand that's least accurate compared to the other big name brands. try VDO(cheap and accurate) or DEFI (a bit more pricey and accurate)
