I love my 10th AE interior, and 80s Japanese sports cars in general. I like my stock orange and black gauges that everyone changes. Its tradition 80's sports car look, which is what I was going for, other wise i would have bought a diff. car.

The only thing I might wanna change is the plain gauges... I'd like to modify an FC dashboard and put an FD gauge pod in it.

I think the S5 black leather interior looks damn good and I get compliments every time I give someone a ride. They have a hard time believing its a '89. The S4's however are pretty old looking even though they are pretty much similar.

There's something about the interior of the FC.... maybe that it lacks some of the.... luxury of newer sports cars?

Whatever it is - it just adds to the feeling that the FC is a TRUE sports car.

I also love it because I feel so cozy when I'm in it.... seat hold well - shifter is right where my hand rests... nothing but business i guess.... it just feels right.

Hey, I'll have to vote STFU on this one, how can you say you're interior is outdated when you got an SAFC-II in there? I will admit that the black and "glacier" (ooohhh... ahhh...) interior I have it a bit on the worn side, but nothier is outdated at the picnic blanket reddish orange interior my 81 mustang has (yes, mustang, not a v-8, so don't boo me). I'll say what everyone else says I guess, it is an 80s sports cars and it was a good one too..... which at this point in my rx's life, doesn't say much for the 80s. Yeah, you could gut it, which I did when I had my blue interior with the rear cup holders they call seats. I think I'm just greatful to have door handles and locks back instead of just push rods. I'm also glad the I have power windows instead of the pair of vice-grips I used to carry around to wind down the windows, not that i don't still carry them with me, something always breaks...

For functionality the interior of the fc is excellent, everything is real easy to see and use. As for the looks you can tell straight away its an 80s car but it doesnt bother me at all, i think it looks great. Heres a couple of mine with a little modification.

damn..am I the only one that does not like the interior that much? I think it is ok but it does not go with the timeless design that the outside has...If everyone was so happy with our STOCK cars then we would not change anything...YES, it looks good for a late 80's car(the interior) but when someone looks at my car(exterior) they are unsure how old it is...I often get that wide eyed look when I say its 15 years old....however, when people look inside the car(aside from the aftermarket gauges) they see that it is not a new car and it looks very dated...being In europe is great and there are a lot of Merc's, BMW, Audi's etc around and most of them are new...when I see one of those interiors, I want to create my own for the 7 not because I am not happy with the interior design but because it does not complement the car the way the outside and motor does...the exterior design still gets looks and it can hold its own parked next to almost all new sporty cars but the interior just can't make that claim...but I still would not trade the car for anything else...if i won a million bucks tomorrow, I would buy a Porsche 911 GT3, a BMW M3 CSL but I would still keep my 7 because that is who I am...14+ years of rotary passion..no rotor no motor. WHOA!

For me its easy, I like it

The FC interior is far more modern than almost anything else made in the 80s.

I can't imagine the FC with any other sort of interior... In my mind, I see the FC as a whole - the interior being part of it. I'll admit that it does look old, as it isnt modern styling with plastic and curves up the wazoo, but its still damned sexy. It looks great in my opinion (except the maroon interiors )

Bleh - who cares about the interior? well, atleast you don't care about it too much when you're flying by anyone who gathers up the ***** (or stupidity) to race your 7 =P

The interior of a FC does not show its age in my opinion. Ive had people ask if my car was a 2000 model. And compare our interior to that of the same year Supra or the competition (even Porsche). You want to talk about dated interiors go look at theres.

I love the interior. It fits well with the rest of the car and screams "80's". But it's classic, not dated.

Nothing can beat the comfort of Volvo seats, though the 7's seats have a lot more lateral support.

Looks good to me. Still has the new car smell... and hey, it has factory CD... not bad for a car built in the 80's
