Does my 87 rx have lsd?

I just bought an 87 rx how do i know if it has lsd? i have had one other rx but it was a first gen gsl. this one doesnt have a badge other then rx7. is it a base model? is it lsd? i know this sounds stupid but i do know a lot about cars just not rx7's yet.

i think only the gxl's and turbos had lsd. but even if it does, its trashed by now anyway

Not true. I have a 88 with over 200,000 on the body. Im pretty sure the rear end is stock and it works pretty good. Im a drifter. Im in touch with my lsd=D

Mines not viscous either cause its s4 right? clutch lsd's are stronger?

then no, it doesn't have an LSD unless someone swapped one in and then it would have a tag on the fill plug on the diff.

sure thing driftar! clutch is better and s4 is clutch. and i cant swallow the thought that your 200k mile rear end is performing exactly as it did back in the mid 80s. get a kaaz or even rebuild the stock one and you will tell the difference and no longer think that yours works perfectly

hook posi? if you mean that both tires spin when you launch, its cause its easier to spin both tires in a straight line. its when you are going around a corner they will not both spin at the same time. if you look at your tire marks when you do launch, i can tell you that they will not be the same length. cars equipped with a good working clutch type lsd will have same length tire marks.
