Does a GTUs have TII halfshafts?

A nearby junkyard has a 1989 GTUs getting picked apart. Anyone know if the GTUs has TII halfshafts? Not sure since the tranny is NA but the diff is TII.

The GTUs is an NA. The transmission is NA, the driveshaft is NA, the differential is NA, and the halfshafts are NA, the flywheel is NA, the starter is NA... etc.

If somebody installed a TII differential on it then it has TII halfshafts, assuming that it was driving at some point before ending up in the junk yard.

Makes sense, since the halfshaft inboard flange has to match the diff stubshaft flange bolt pattern. Thanks for the info EA.

it screws in to the transmission to tell the speedometer how fast your car is going.

You mean the speedo drive gear? I get it now, the speedo gears and the 4.30 diff gears are a matched set.

I did pick-up that speedo gear. It has 21 teeth instead of the normal 20 (at least that's what's in my TII tranny). Thanx for the heads-up Absence. IOU1.

I'm going to keep the gear and try to find a 4.30 diff. Will give you dibs when I try and sell it donxw,
