Does anyone rebuild s4 turbochargers? Where can i get a turbo rebuild kit ?

I have an s4 turbo, it looks like its leaking from where it connects to the exhaust side, so i think i should probably get a rebuild if i can, because im pretty sure it will smoke/leak out oil.

Is there a place I can get it rebuilt to be like new, or is there at least somewhere I can get a rebuild kit to put on myself so it won't leak anymore.

I looked online all i could find was one place saying to use a t3 turbo rebuild kit...which seems odd.

Honestly, if your looking or even thinking about performance mods in the future I'd go with one
of the BNR upgrades. Maybe to a stage 1 or stage 2. Of course this requires some other mods to
keep up, but its relatively simple ( maybe exhaust, fuel pump, Rtek ). Back when I was a
youngster I had my turbo blow and wish I would have known about BNR because I would have
had it rebuilt AND upgraded for about the same price.

Well, in order to get the full potential out of the stock turbo you'll need other mods,
mainly exhaust. Get rid of your cat and find a 2.5" or 3" downpipe and test pipe.
According to racing beat their 3" turbo back exhaust sytem will give you a 59 HP
increase on stock setup. Main point is, the stock turbo can produce power, but to see
and performance increases something has to be done that will cause boost increase.
Its said that the stock turbo can handle like 10/12 psi, can anyone verify that? Do
some quick searching and you can probably find loads of info on basic turbo
modifications.

i've got a 3" downpipe, (from parts car) and 2.5" borla catback exhaust (this is currently on my na) , i also have a chipped turbo ecu not sure what was done to it have to look some kinda superchip company. the injectors will be stock 550s to start and stock fuel pump. thats all i have for now.

i will probably need to get a boost controller.

i am considering turboing my n/a since i have everything i need, i just think the tuning will be really tough on the higher compression motor, it's also streetported too..mainly id be afraid of detonation on the initial tune.

I rebuilt a stock and aBNR stage 2 S4 turbo. It's really quite easy. The main thing is to send out the wheels to be balanced. Gpopshop has the kits.
