Does anyone like any of the stock rims?

SpeedOfLife... check the FAQ at the top of the page. Icemark put up a ton of information regarding all the stock wheels, including sizes, weight, and what cars they came on.

It's not in the FSM, but it is in the FAQ

I don't hate my stock wheels, I'll surely keep them for winter but they aren't good enough to be worth the effort of making them pretty again (15"). I'm posting pics because I don't remember seing them in the stickies.

+1 for the infini BBS wheels, but as far as "attainable" stock wheels, S5 TII/ GTUs for sure

I like the BBS vert wheels, and I like the S5 TII wheels. those are the ones i have on my car right now and I really like em. Think I might paint them like gold or bronze.

And the sexiest stock wheels are the mazdaspeeds MS-01.

phone dials are fun and all but they are kind of small (14") and not very wide so you can't lay as much rubber to the ground. If the Phone dials came in 5 lug and 15" or 16" I would rock those in a heartbeat If no one gets the weight for these bad boys up by tomorrow I'll weigh one of mine with and without tyre for ya

Only good looking stock rims imo are the vert bbs wheels. Otherwise, they look like crap.

My opinion.

Look!
1- Mazdaspeed MS-01
2- Infini meshes
3- Vert meshes
4- Everything else

Everything except the TII wheels are too small (bbs's get the nod only because they're light and somewhat attractive).

But what about the S5 TII meshes? no lip, so no luck.

The early S4 TII's were even worse, you could've hidden drum brakes behind those things and no one would be the wiser. And no, putting a shiny finish on them (88') didnt make them any better.

Honestly the S5 coupe 5 stars aren't too bad, just too small

Same goes w/ the S4 GXL's -- smooth > brushed finish

Phone dials are the absolute worst, tiny and ugly
