Question does anyone know how injectors are cleaned??

well i got an idea.....(ok correct me if i'm wrong), would it be possible to make a circuit to wire the injectors open, and then blow air through them from the injector tip, to unclog them????, has anyone tried, am i wasting my time??? i am on a very low budget, and have a few other repairs to do.....

Don't do that - holding the injectors open full-time can make them overheat.&nbsp "Back-cleaning" the fuel injectors with compressed air is a no-no also.&nbsp If you're cheap, just run some fuel injectors cleaner through a couple tanks of gas and call it a day...

You can try soaking your injector tips in degreaser, or fuel injector cleaner. I've done it a few times with good results. Some people have wired a power source to the fuel injector and sprayed fuel injector cleaner through the fuel injector while opening and closing the injector in short intervals.

Just get them done professionally. The ultrasonic cleaners they use so just so much more effective than anything you can do at home. Plus they check the flow rate and spray pattern so you know they're all OK.

Yeah, use battery voltage to pulse the injector and spray some carb cleaner into it
