Question Important Question

If I wans to take out the turbo from an 88 TII and if I do not plug up the holes.... would the car still run? I other words I mean open the hood and disconnect the turbo and take it out the close the hood. Would it run?

Thanx

Yes, but how are you gonna get the ehaust gasses out? Also, you will have NO power. The TII has crazy-low compression. Why would you want to dot his? Also, you will run really rich. I guess it could work...

You would burn to the ground, if it did.

You'll need to...

Run an NA exhuast system...
Rerun the intake to bypass the turbo compressor section...

Yes, it'll run fine.

Don't forget to plug the oil lines for the turbo.

I wouldn't call it "crazy" low, and you'd still make reasonable power. A mate of mine dropped a deturbo'd S5 engine with a Weber into a 1st Gen and it went like a cut cat!
