Do Mustang Rims Fit On a FC?

I'd like to know I have a set of rims and slicks off a foxbody Mustang my friend is selling for $100. I want to use them for my GTU?

I know the newer Stang wheels fit fine for the most part.

Sense he is your friend, why not see if he will let you test fit them on your car?

offset is diff. you will need spacers.

its been discussed several times, so surely a search will show you what you are looking for

they will but they need spacers as stated. they are also about 3 times heavier than stock wheels or most aftermarket as well, just an FYI.

Im not sure about the year wheels you are talking about, but I had '03 GT wheels on my FC at one time. They are 17x8 and do not require any spacers, the offset is pretty low ( 32 if I remember correctly). Also they weighed in at just under 18lbs each, which is pretty light for that size wheel. If you would be interested, do a search under my username for " mustang wheels"

lol what did you search for "PIITB" then yeah it didn't come up with much did it. Try searching for just "mustang" and you'll find more than the info you're looking for

Those Mustang GT wheels on the Black TII up there are the same ones I've got on my car. They fit perfectly. They're about 20 lbs, for mine, although I've heard other people say that theirs are like 17 lbs, neither of which is bad for a wheel that big. You'll pay at least double to get a wheel much lighter in that size.

I beleive that the SVT Cobra and the Cobra R's are 17x9" (at a minimum) and are therefore too big to fit under the front fenders. Regular Cobra wheels should be 17x8" and will fit.

Will the 17x9" wheels not fit due to offset? I don't want 9" wheels on the front. Ah screw it. I'll save up a whole shitload of money and buy some ENKIE GT-V's.

9" won't fit in front due to the width, not sure what the offset is, it might work on the back.

So the newer GT wheels fit up front and out back without any use of spacers?

Correct, but you *may* have to roll your front fenders some, depending on your suspension setup. I just put GT wheels on my car, and the fronts rub on hard cornering and hard bumps. I have KYB AGXs and Eibach springs.

Gatlin,

Is that the 17 x 8 or 17 x 9 wheel? And what size tire do you have?

Thanks!
