Do motor mounts have a slot in the bottom for adjustment?

My engine has always sat funny in my car. It is an auto > manual conversion using Kevin landers' plans for a tranny adapter. since the engine is turned, not tilted, ever so slightly to the right, looking from the front, so is the transmission and drive shaft. does anyone know if the mounts can be adjusted? I have loosend them from the bottom and tried to straighten the tranny but with no luck. The shifter sits towards the passenger side while straight up and I am worried about the drive shaft angle. I have measured my trans adapter and it is dead on. If you look at the front of the engine from the front axel center line (standing beside the car, facing the fender and wheel), you can see the front of the crank pulley from the side, when (I think) it should be straight on. does this make any since?

my car is the same way. we installed my engine and didnt notice that it was turned a tiny bit to the right (the shifter sits over to the right baout a half inch, maybe 1 inch)
i also have one of the ghetto autozone motor mounts on the passenger side so that side also sits UP a tiny bit more than the other.

i really dont understand why the engine is turned slightly because the transmission crossmember mounts lined up great.. and YES there is a little area for play in the hole where the motor mounts bolt onto the frame (for slight adjustment) i messed with these but couldnt get the motor to move... so i'm kinda curious myself.

when you take the nut off the studs on the very bottom of the engine mounts, you will see that in the frame of the car, through which the mount's stud goes through, there is a slotted area where the stud can move.

So yes, you can adjust it, but only a very small amount. Now, I haven't taken a look at the tranny mounts yet, so I can't say for that part...but the engine mounts are through slots, rather than just small holes, so they can be adjusted.

Just make sure to jack up the engine while trying...actually, if you have a hoist, that would be the best way. Even with a jack, it will be tough to try to reposition the engine.

bump
How much movement will this slot afford? Is it enough to move the engine over some? The Tranny mounts just bolt straight in. there is no adjustment on them.

not much. maybe it is only one side, as the previous poster said... I removed my right-side mount, and there was a 2" slot there... I was unable to remove the left-side mount (and it's pissing me off, because I NEED to replace it )
