Do the knockoff Mazdaspeed seats fit easily?
What you would have to find out is who makes the seat...it's just been covered thats all. BUT, for the price, everyone would have to assume they are not up to safety spec and cheap/poorly made seats.
I had mine re-upholstered, all new foam and simulated leather (Corinthian of course) for $320.00. They came out better than factory, and they don't squeeze your kidneys like the so-called racing seats.
I can't believe people seriously consider buying all this knock-off crap. It's completely unsafe, it's shitty quality, and it seriously hurts companies that make authentic quality products.
I know for a fact that several big name japanese performance parts manufacturers are seriously hurting and may pull out of the United States because cheapness is rampant, as well as an overabundance of low quality knockoffs.
People are so goddamn cheap.
Btw, I've heard from several people that the ink on those cheap seats rubs off on clothing.

Another nice seat for the price is the 1990-1996 300ZX seats. made by recaro (or ripped of their design) leather, and pretty cheap. OEM safety, and very comfortable and fitting (for me anyway, 6'1" 215 lbs). I'm putting a set in my 7... All you have to do is adapt the sliders.. figure that part out on your own-
