Talking Do I really need a TII hood?

I'm swapping in a TII engine into my n/a car. Do I really need a turbo hood? Or can I just cut a hole for the i/c in my n/a hood and leave it open or buy a junk yard scoop off a mustang?

well, it doesnt technically have to be a TII hood, but some sort of scoop is necessary.

I'm having a custom driveshaft built from my new T2 tranny to my n/a diff. without the little dooflingy. Think there will be any problem?

I had actually thought about getting an N/A hood and de-badging my TII. That'd be evil.

you dont really need it, but the t2 is pretty good, and looks good, i dont see why you wouldnt

it also provides better ventilation to the whole engine bay, just look under and t2 hood

better ventalation? not unless you have spacers on the hinges. otherwise air just swirls around the engine bay heat and creates high pressure

I'm all for stealth, but I just think the scoop adds so much to the car. They look a little boring without it.
