do i need a new turbo? (does it need rebuilt?)

I just bought my 87 T2, 79k miles. only mod is intake (hks) and i freevented the stock bov. no vacuum leaks and the turbo still boosts good and still lets me spin the tires at will. the only problem is when i romp it, it(the turbo) seems to leak oil into the exhaust. And when i come to a stop, i have to hang out for a few minutes and let the exhaust burn the oil out.(friends make fun of me for it but they wont race me) i also have an exhaust leak (2 flanges are missing right at the Y pipe) so i figured i was losing a little backpressure (makes my car idle a little rough,[i hope thats why and not a bigger problem.]) i figured that i could easily diagnose the problem by blaming the o-rings in the turbo. am i right? and should i rebuild or buy a rebuilt one and put it in? i appreciate the help.

Mine has 145K on the turbo and doesn't leak, but the turbo is a series V turbo.
